I ordered two full coverage kits from Tankslapper; one Daytona and one Street Triple kit. Both kits arrived neatly and safely packaged. There was one little hiccup, as I had indicated full kits AND a possible custom piece for my solo seat cover on the order form, but was a little vague in my description. Instead of guessing what I meant, Lucas, the owner/operator waited until clearer instructions were forwarded before sending the kits. My fault.
The film is top notch and all pieces are EXACTLY cut for your specific bike.
The Tankslapper website is very detailed and thorough and can answer most, if not all, questions with a little reading and video watching. I did all my research and then some. In fact, I did too much. I watched, not only the Tankslapper videos, but any I could come across. In the end there were so many different versions of technique and liquid solution ratios, that my head was spinning.
I decided to use a "hybrid" of all the information I had gathered and strayed from the directions on the Tankslapper website.
Because of this and my inexperience with the film, my first attempt ended in frustration and failure.
I contacted Lucas and asked to purchase more of the pieces that I had just ruined. He asked me to phone him.
Lucas is friendly, professional, extremely knowledgeable and PATIENT! After a 15 minute conversation, he told me that it is his policy to ensure each of his customers are successful with his product and that he'd send me the pieces I needed at no charge, save shipping!
I. WAS. FLOORED!
I declined the offer, as I was clearly to blame for the unsuccessful application. He persisted. In the end, we agreed that he would send me the pieces I needed at his cost, plus shipping. The pieces arrived days later.
I followed Lucas' instructions ONLY, this time, and my application turned out as close to perfect as professional.
I cannot overstate the amazing business practices of this company! This was the best customer service experience I've ever had, period.
